Beer Bike Crash In Amsterdam

The bike, with eleven women on board, hit the roof of a bike tunnel at high speed. A beer bike operated by a different company from the one on this news itemThree of the women werebeer bikeejected by the force of the crash.They have taken to a hospital where they were treated for neck injuries.
A beer bike (bierfiets) is a mobile, pedal-powered bar. The bike was rented by the women to celebrate a bachelor party.
Hoping to more easily cycle up the incline on the other end of the bike tunnel, the women gathered speed on the downward incline — not realizing that the roof of the tunnel was too low for the beer bike to negotiate.
Among the injured women is the driver of the bike.
Police have reportedly started an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Beer bikes can be rented from several companies. They can transport up to seventeen people, bar keeper and driver included, and are powered by ten sets of bike pedals.
